Podolski loan to Inter is official

What's long been rumored is now official:

Everyone's favorite Arsenal player personality is off to Milan for the rest of the season, and probably the rest of his career. Many pixels have been spent debating his qualities as a player and as a person, so no real need to rehash them here - suffice it to say that I hope he does well at Inter but don't bemoan his departure.

I'm always one that likes a player with some personality - athletes are far too boring these days - but mostly, I like players that play well, and far too often, Podolski didn't play well enough to be the #aha guy for me. In the immortal words of Crash Davis, dressing down Nuke LaLoosh about the shitty condition of his shower shoes and about public perception:

If you win 20 in the show, you can let the fungus grow back and the press'll think you're colorful. Until you win 20 in the show, however, it means you are a slob.
