Yesterday, Arsenal eked out a 3-2 victory at Brighton to keep its FA Cup back-to-back campaign intact. Today, the team learns who it will face in the Round of 16 with the ceremony that is the FA Cup 5th round draw.
Unlike the 4th round draw, which preceded a Liverpool-AFC Wimbledon match made positively delightful by a Adebayo Akinfenwa goal, the 5th round draw won't be available on American TV. Viewers in Merrie Olde can catch it on BBC One's The One Show, starting at about 7:20 pm BT (2:20 pm ET, 11:20 am PT). We'll have a ball-by-ball report over on our Twitter account (@theshortfuse), and of course, we'll post a summary of the "action" shortly after it happens. American viewers can also expect a roundup on Fox Sports 2 prior to its coverage of Rochdale vs. Stoke.
Here are the remaining teams with their ball numbers for today -- you'll notice the absence of teams like Manchester City, Chelsea, and Southampton, and you'll also see some other top-tier Premier League teams who have return ties on Feb. 3 and 4 keeping them from cleanly being through to the 5th round:
1. Crystal Palace
2. Some United (either Cambridge or Manchester)
3. Blackburn Rovers
4. Bradford City
5. Derby County
6. Preston North End/Sheffield United
7. West Brom
8. Aston Villa
9. Reading
10. Bolton/Liverpool
11. Leicester
12. Arsenal
13. Rochdale/Stoke City
14. Sunderland/Fulham
15. West Ham
16. Middlesbrough
