Say Hello To Vicky Losada

The Spaniard is Arsenal Ladies first signing of 2015

After adding Lianne Sanderson just last Fall, the Arsenal Ladies have followed up with another pretty excellent signing. Let's all extend a warm welcome to Vicky Losada, who will be joining the club from Barcelona. That's correct dear readers, they don't just have a men's team.

This signing isn't totally shocking, as Losada just spent the previous NWSL season with the Western New York Flash, where current Arsenal Ladies manager Pedro Losa was an assistant coach. Despite just being 23, the midfielder has had a fair amount of experience playing for Barcelona, winning three Superliga titles and playing in the UEFA Women's Champions League. She's was also a relatively important part of Spain's qualification for the 2015 Women's World Cup, the first ever World Cup appearance for the nation.

Losada is a midfielder that can play a little deeper or get forward into the attack. She's got pretty excellent passing vision and, while streaky, has the ability to create chances and score goals. If you'd like to see some of her attacking prowess, I suggest you look no further than these highlights of her first ever NWSL game.

She'll be joining up with the team in March, but there is no telling how much of the FA WSL season she'll be seeing as there is a fair chance she'll be playing for Spain in this summer's Women's World Cup.
