As I noted yesterday, this signing is one for the future. Bielik, a 17 year-old defensive midfielder, transferred to Legia Warsaw just this past summer, and has a grand total of six league appearances this season -- which so happen to make up every single appearance he's made in his career at the senior level.
Of course there's always the chance that Bielik arrives and impresses the coaching staff to the point of forcing himself into the first-team this season, but the odds of such an event occurring is small enough that many fans and observers will still be closely monitoring Wenger throughout the rest of the month to see if he's willing to spend money on a proven defensive midfielder.
