Danny Welbeck celebrates his first Arsenal goal

Arsenal's striker spoke to the media after the match--here's what he had to say!

Arsenal's Danny Welbeck has given his reaction to Arsenal's 3-0 victory against Aston Villa today, a match where he served as both provider and finisher during the Gunners' blitz midway through the first half. Speaking to the official website, he noted that Arsenal "moved the ball and got in behind them at times - that was the difference today" and added that "Once we took our first goal we looked in control of the game".

Indeed, Arsenal's reversion to using a double pivot and surrounding Mesut Özil with players that allowed him to take his more effective central role seemed to pay immediate dividends, with Arsenal controlling most of the midfield action and limiting Aston Villa to the counter. As for Welbeck himself, he noted that he is still getting used to his teammates, saying "I've not had as many training sessions as I would have liked to but I'm starting to know the other players a lot better"; based on today's showing, if he knows them too much better, things are only looking up for Arsenal.
