Olivier Giroud, it's fair to say, is a polarizing figure among Arsenal fans. Some say he's not "world class", whatever that particular phrase can be said to mean, and others think that he's a good solution up top for the Arsenal attack. Whichever side of that coin you land on, you'll reportedly have two more years to hone your argument - L'Equipe is reporting, and many other sites are confirming, that the French international has been offered a two year extension by the club.
This source even goes so far as to say the terms were "provisionally agreed" by the player, although I can't find the L'Equipe story to which it refers - every mention I've seen only says the contract was offered.
For whatever criticism Giroud has endured in his time at Arsenal, I for one am both excited about this extension and really interested to see how he works in a side with Alexis Sanchez - I think they could end up being a potent combination.
