Thierry Henry will not play for Arsenal on Saturday

It had been thought that Henry would perhaps play for Arsenal but he will not.

Not this time.
Not this time.

With Arsenal having only brought one centre forward, Chuba Akpom, in their squad for Saturday's match against New York Red Bulls, it had been thought that Thierry Henry would play for both sides. Henry was unable to do so in 2011, when the Red Bulls came to the Emirates for the Emirates Cup, due to some nonsense rule. Unfortunately, the same rules, ostensibly for all international friendlies applied; otherwise, Mike Petke, the manager of the Red Bulls, implied that Henry might have done so. Thus, Chuba Akpom will have an extended chance to impress, with a direct replacement not immediately apparent.

Other highlights from the press conference included a masterclass in being witheringly dismissive from Thierry Henry as he was asked about Frank Lampard ("I'm here to talk about the game. You should ask his club") and the shaping up of Arsenal's squad ("the boss will be here soon"), as well as positive comments about Gedion Zelalem and a nostalgia-filled remembrance of Highbury.
