The day is here.

Not sure if you've heard but there's a bit of a kickabout going on in Brazil starting today.  But I'm not here to talk about police mistreatment of Brazilian anti-FIFA protestors.

Hello? Is this thing on?

Anyway, the World Cup starts today, so yay sports!  We'll be doing one of these open threads on every game day, so come on by, pull up a virtual stool, crack open a beverage, and let's talk about soccer!

TODAY'S GAME:

Group A: Brazil vs. Croatia, 1PM PT/4PM ET
Arena Corinthians, Sao Paulo
TV: ESPN

The hosts are under a lot of pressure, obviously, and they kick off the tournament with a tricky yet very winnable game.  Brazil don't lose in Brazil, and I would be surprised if they lose here.

ANY ARSENAL PLAYERS INVOLVED?

Nope!

ANY ARSENAL TRANSFER TARGETS INVOLVED?

Not really?  None that have been identified yet, anyway.

Remember, kids, no posting or talking about illegal streams - this is probably the most watched sporting event on the planet (sit down, Super Bowl marketing department.  You ain't got shit on this event.).  There are a billion legal ways to watch.
