According to Get French Football News, Bordeaux lead the chase to sign Yaya Sanogo on loan for the remainder of the 2014/15 season. Sanogo, who has been missing from Arsenal's last two squads and has only made three appearances since August, is currently surplus to requirements and could use playing time to further develop.
Bordeaux are managed by Willy Sagnol, and recently offered Thierry Henry the chance to finish his playing career in France. They are currently 6th in Ligue 1, 7 points from a Champions League place and 5 points from a Europa League place. Sanogo, prolific during his time in France with Auxerre, is apparently guaranteed ample playing time, but it would not be a surprise to see Arsenal hold out for options; for one, Sanogo is likely needed for next weekend's FA Cup with the suspension of Olivier Giroud, and secondly, Arsenal would prefer Sanogo to be loaned to a Premier League side. If one were to come calling, Bordeaux could find themselves looking in from the outside.
