Arsenal linked with Juve's Quagliarella?

No.

Valerio Pennicino

The newest, hottest Arsenal rumor hitting the internets and Twitters at the moment is Juventus' Fabio Quaglirella.  Here's why you should ignore it.

If you haven't seen, the Daily Mail is running with it, claiming that Arsene Wenger is after the 31-year old striker as a last-ditch effort to shore up his striking options:

Arsenal could make a late swoop for Quagliarella

John Edwards: Arsenal have been linked with Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic all day, but I am hearing the player they may end up signing is his team-mate Fabio Quagliarella.

After finally being forced to abandon hope of prising Julian Draxler away from Schalke, manager Arsene Wenger has turned to alternatives in his urgent quest to bring in reinforcements up front.

Sources in Turin are now claiming 31-year old Quagliarella, a proven finisher in Serie A, is the player in his sights and that a deal could be done before tonight’s 11pm close of play.

Well, about those sources?  What if I told you those "sources" are something called "Sports Direct News?"

There's a very good chance that Wenger's far from finished today, but until we get a bit more solid links than these two, let's chill out on this particular rumor in the meantime.
