According to reports very briefly, Olivier Giroud was not going to start as planned for France today as they face Georgia in a World Cup qualifier. To the tweets!
French TV just announce a possible injury for Giroud. He will miss the game versus Georgia tonight. Will try to catch more info soon— GrÖÖver (@GrooverBlog) September 6, 2013
As it seems, Giroud injury is not serious (hint during warm up). Precaution— GrÖÖver (@GrooverBlog) September 6, 2013
I was going to tell you to chill out and not riot yet, because it was probably just a little thing and he'd be fine. Then this happened.
SO, Giroud finally starts for France. Aopologize people— GrÖÖver (@GrooverBlog) September 6, 2013
I confirm Giroud received a hint (from Evra) on his calf. But still can play— GrÖÖver (@GrooverBlog) September 6, 2013
Evidently he and Patrice Evra collided in warmups, but he was assessed by trainers and is fine. Now our ire turns to Didier Deschamps, because if his fine-ness is not absolute and Giroud plays, I will be miffed.
Don't ruin my weekend, Didier. Don't you do it.
