The Mesut Özil transfer inches toward completion. According to Sky Sports, there could be an announcement from Arsenal in the next hour and a half or so.

It seems that the only steps today have been forward and not backward, which makes it seem more and more like this is a thing that's actually going to happen. David Ornstein and Jeremy Wilson both reported earlier that the deal was very nearly completed.

This may take a bit to complete, but honestly, it looks like it would take a real disaster (like, Real Madrid doing things) to crash this deal. Stay calm for the moment, but we may be having a party in an hour or so.
