Giroud: My knee is fine

The Arsenal striker says his apparently injured knee is not actually injured.

Laurence Griffiths

For a while now, I think we may be doing this in every game. Every time Olivier Giroud touches the grass, we will all get super nervous, and remain so until he gets up. Today near the end of Arsenal's 3-1 win he appeared to tweak his knee attempting a shot, and he went down. Everyone hoped he was just trying to waste time, but then he came off for Chuba Akpom, Arsenal Twitter went nuclear.

Luckily for us, it appears that everything is okay. For the moment, at least.

And so now I suppose we await the weekly injury report, and see just how "ok" it is. Based on what people were saying just after the game it does sound like he should be okay, but still, having to wonder this much isn't a ton of fun.
