In a bit of news on the home front, Arsenal youth and Spain U-19 right back Hector Bellerin, who joined from Barcelona in 2011, has signed a long-term contract with the Gunners today. Most regard Bellerin as one of the top youth players currently at the club; although he hasn't made a senior team appearance yet, he has been in the squad on a couple of occasions. He's only 18, and with Bacary Sagna and Carl Jenkinson ahead of him currently, it may be a little bit of time before he starts seeing serious senior minutes, but he's on the cusp of being good enough right now.
Bellerin has a good deal of quicks, and his passing is quite good, as well. This is nothing but a good signing for Arsenal, as Bellerin is one of a handful of youth players at the team who has a realistic shot at making the senior side on a long-term basis in the future.
