Eintracht Frankfurt confirm Bendtner interest, for some reason

One of the teams that the Dane claimed was after him has revealed themselves.

Eintracht Frankfurt's executive chairman has confirmed the club's interest in Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner. According to Heribert Bruchhage, Frankfurt "are talking seriously with Bendtner." So there that is!

The player could be available for as little as €5 million (or £4.28 million, if you prefer) as Arsenal seem to be more interested in getting the player and his damned wage bill out the door, rather than extracting value for him. Though honestly I'm not sure Bendtner is worth more than £4.28 million, so maybe that's just the fair price.

Frankfurt are Europa League qualifiers for 2013-14, but since he's said in the recent past that he'll take a step down in team quality to take a step up in playing time, that shouldn't be an issue. If this is serious intent on Frankfurt's part, then I say cut the fee in half and get him on an express flight to Germany. Those wages could be going to Gonzalo Higuain. Go on, get out of here.
