Arsenal 4-1 Wigan: Instant Reaction Thread

In the "exactly what we needed" department, Arsenal hand FA Cup winners Wigan their asses and a ticket to the Championship.

Well, that sure was fun, wasn't it? A brace from Podolski and individual goals from Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey were more than enough to see off Wigan Athletic at the Emirates today.

Arsenal looked absolutely imperious at times - they ended the first half a little tight, giving up a goal right before half time, but then once the second half kicked off it was all Arsenal all the time. Podolski, Walcott and Ramsey all found the back of the net in a performance that made me happy but also made me go WHERE THE HELL HAS THIS BEEN ALL SEASON WHY DO YOU DO THIS ONLY AT THE END OF THE YEAR.

There wasn't much that was going to stop Arsenal today, and here's hoping they carry that form into next Sunday's game at Newcastle. One more game, three more points, and it's job done for another season. Bring on St. Totteringham's Day!
