Chuks Aneke is one of Arsenal's vaunted youth corps. Or, if you're not a Wenger fan, GTFO one of the dozens of pointless young players Arsenal collect instead of buying (insert overpriced known name here). I will admit to not following the Arsenal kids very closely, but Aneke's got all the markings of "gonna be a good one" - he's 20, he's already been an England U17 and U20 international and a Cup final (last year's Football League Trophy), and if he continues to develop, he'll find a home in Arsenal's midfield in a couple years.
To further that development, Aneke has agreed to extend his loan at Crewe, which was supposed to end in February, until the end of the 2013/14 season. He's scored twice in 16 appearances for Crewe so far, and they're impressed enough with him that they want him around to finish out the season. This is good news; there's nowhere for him to play in Arsenal's midfield right now, so if he can keep getting regular games at Crewe, by the time there is room in the Arsenal midfield, he'll be ready to slot in and be a major contributor for a good long while.
