If you have plans to watch sweet payback against Aston Villa for the Anthony Taylor-assisted aberration that was the 2013-14 season opener, and you undoubtedly do, those plans will now need to involve ducking out of the office or classroom on Monday.
Arsenal.com announced that Sky Sports chose the match at Villa Park as its Monday night game for Week 21. It's only Arsenal's second Monday night Premier League match of the year; the team's also scheduled for a Monday, Dec. 23 battle with Chelsea at the Emirates to start a holiday logjam of games on the 26th, 29th, and New Year's Day. The Villa match also starts a stretch of the season that includes three challenging matches against Champions League and Europa League contenders -- at Southampton (Jan. 28), at Liverpool (Feb. 8), and hosting Manchester United (Feb. 11).
One caveat: If either team is involved with an FA Cup 3rd Round Replay, the match will be moved to Sunday the 12th to give the replay an extra day's space.
