Arsene Wenger makes three changes to the side that swatted away Marseille, restoring Kieran Gibbs, Mikel Arteta and Santi Cazorla to the lineup. It's the same team that beat Southampton a week ago, and is fast becoming the most common side Arsenal have named this season. Aaron Ramsey, scorer of six goals in twelve league games this season, returns to the club that he grew up at. Nicklas Bendtner doesn't make the substitute bench.

Cardiff City name almost the same team that impressively held Manchester United to a point last weekend. Frazier Campbell starts upfront, while Peter Whittingham and Jordan Mutch are the men to watch in Cardiff's midfield.

Arsenal: Szczesny; Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs; Arteta, Ramsey; Wilshere, Özil, Cazorla; Giroud

Cardiff City: Marshall; Theophile-Catherine, Turner, Caulker, Taylor; Medel; Cowie, Mutch, Kim, Whittingham; Campell
