Craig Eastmond and Sanchez Watt go on loan to Colchester United

The pair of Arsenal 21-year olds will spend the next three months on loan to the League One side in Essex after making solid starts to the year for Terry Burton's U21s.

Arsenal midfielder Craig Eastmond and striker Sanchez Watt have moved on loan to League One side Colchester United today, according to Arsenal's official team site. Both have spent much time on loan in the past couple of years, Eastmond at Wycombe and Millwall, Watt at Sheffield Wednesday and Crawley Town.

Both players have also had really good starts to their U21 seasons, which is encouraging, as both have previously seemed to fail to catch the eye of anyone in the senior setup in preseason (of course, they were very young still). Watt has scored four goals in the first three games, and Eastmond has played in all three and played very well. Hopefully both can carry their good form over to League One for the Us, where they should see regular time in meaningful competition; they were both probably never going to feature in the Capital One Cup this year, as we've seen what probably will be Wenger's base squad for that competition going forward yesterday against Coventry City.

Best of luck to Eastmond and Watt in Essex.
