The draw for the fourth round of the 2012-13 League Cup took place immediately upon the finish of the third round matches, an Arsenal have been given a fairly good partner for their next match, as they will ramble down the M4 westward to Reading and the Madejski Stadium to face Reading FC during the week of October 29.
It's a good draw for Arsenal, as Reading have struggled so far this year, but no team is to be underestimated in this competition, especially buoyed by their home support. The fixture also will come only a few days ahead of Saturday, November 3rd's match away at Old Trafford and Manchester United, so Arsene Wenger will have to be judicious in his squad selection. He will probably opt to field many youths and fringe players again, but luckily Arsenal's improved depth this year allows him the luxury of using such names as Theo Walcott and Andrei Arshavin in this competition, so hopefully he can rotate enough to put out a full-strength side against the Red Devils.
But first, of course, Reading. Meanwhile, in the rest of the draw, Chelsea have drawn against those same Red Devils, Manchester United, for their match at Stamford Bridge, so after the fourth round, one of the two strongest sides remaining will be eliminated.
