So today's the day we've all been waiting for. Well, it's a day, that's for sure. I always thought that was a strange phrase - isn't every day that isn't today, by definition, a day one has to wait for? Days don't happen three at a time. Anyway, today sees the counterweight rope fray and finally snap, slamming down the transfer window on somebody's unsuspecting fingers; I don't know if you've heard, but Arsenal might be in the market for some players! As are other teams! So here's a place to talk about any and or all of them!
As with most places, this place has some rules. To wit:
1. This post is a catch-all for transfer news for pretty much any club, a general-interest thread if you will
2. Arsenal transfers can of course be talked about in this thread, but any Arsenal transfers will also be written up and detailed in their own subsequent posts
3. Be cool. No matter what happens, there's no need to get angry, irritated, superior, or pissy.
4. If you're a fan of a team that is not Arsenal, and you just stopped by to comment on something related to an Arsenal transfer, please reread #3 before posting said comment.
So there you go. It's transfer day! That lacks the gravitas of, say, "It's Veterans Day" or "It's my anniversary"* but it's still a day that a lot of us care about, so let's all sit back and watch the fun unfold, shall we?
*If today is your anniversary, buy your significant other something nice. A nice dinner, maybe a night on the town. Candlesticks make a nice gift.
