Arsenal have announced that the club has signed professional contracts with six youth academy prospects today. The players are left back/left midfielder Samir Bihmoutine, goalkeeper Reice Charles-Cook, striker Philip Roberts, all-around midfield/defense utility man Jordan Wynter, Swedish central midfielder Kristoffer Olsson (who's coming off an injury-laden year, but has "big big" potential), and right midfielder / right back Hector Bellerin.
It is Bellerin who is probably the most familiar name to most supporters, having joined the club along with Jon Toral from Barcelona last year. Originally a right-sided attacker, the club have been asking Bellerin to play right back in an effort to develop the defensive side of his game, and the young Spaniard has shown a fair bit of ability as a marauding full back in his time at the club.
All of these players are expected to feature pretty heavily in the NextGen series this year, and we will keep everyone posted on how they look as the year progresses.
