It's hard to believe that the Premier League season is over. Indeed, club football is just about done for the season in general, with the domestic leagues around Europe winding up and the Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Chelsea and the Championship playoff final between Blackpool and West Ham all that remains to be decided. After the initial burst of relieved, cackling, breathless joy at the final whistle yesterday, I suddenly felt a good deal of what might be loosely termed post-partem depression--the season and all its stresses were done. There was no more football (except for the 5-2 win against Spurs I have DVR'd) until the start of Euro 2012 in four weeks or so.
However, that does not mean the end of the work here at The Short Fuse; oh, no, sirs and madams, it does not. A very rough schedule of things you can anticipate here will include, but is by no means limited to, the following:
- Player season reviews
- General season reviews/roundtables
- Open threads for Euro 2012 action
- All the reasonable transfer news you can eat
And that's just the beginning.
What's equally important is that you all make your voices heard, too, so keep posting in threads, keep writing those fanshots and fanposts, and most importantly, if there is content that you'd like to see here throughout the summer, please feel free to shout at us in the comments below (but shout with a subject line, heehee).
