Tomorrow, the well-manicured, overfed hand of some UEFA factotum or other will reach into one of two pots and draw the teams to face each other in the Champions League round of 16. Below is a handy table that shows the winners and runners-up, and thanks to the wonders of technology, hovering over any team will show you the teams that team is able to be drawn against (remember, teams cannot be drawn against the other team from their group or another team from their country in the first knockout round). Thanks, technology!
At this point, many of you are no doubt saying OH NO NOT BARCELONA ANYBODY BUT THEM. I am not one of those people. As has been said here before, if you want to be the best you have to beat the best; the knockout stage is win-or-go-home, so to me it doesn't really matter who Arsenal face in any given round, because the goal is always to win, no matter what.
Even if Arsenal don't draw Barcelona, it will be a tough tie - PSG, Malaga, Dortmund, Juventus, and Bayern all pose some serious challenges. The draw takes place at 11.45AM in Nyon, Switzerland, which is 5.45AM on the East Coast and 2.45AM here on the West Coast. This thread would be a good place to talk about the draw in general, because you damn well better believe I won't be up live-blogging it.
