Emmanuel Frimpong will play the next six weeks or so at The Valley, having moved to Charlton Athletic until January 1. Manager Chris Powell seems pretty pleased:
"We're really happy that he's coming in to join our squad, and we welcome him to the club," said Charlton's manager Chris Powell. "We've had our eye on him for a while, and with the busy Christmas period to come, I felt it was right to make sure that we are covered in all areas. We hope that does very well for us in the red or black of Charlton."

Whether or not the move becomes more permanent remains to be seen, but Frimpong has made only two appearances for Arsenal this year after recovering from a second ACL tear sustained during his loan to Wolves last year. He has fallen behind Francis Coquelin in terms of Arsenal's central midfield depth, and will be looking for more games with the Addicks. A player whose potential has been dulled somewhat by so much lost time recovering from his knee issues, should Tomas Rosicky and Abou Diaby return to fitness, he will find himself at a loss for time, despite his potential and his aggressive skill set. Hopefully he can get some momentum going during his time in the Championship.
