Cesc Fabregas okay after small car crash

A true captain doesn't get involved in "prangs"; he wills other automobiles out of his way.

Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas is unharmed after being involved in a minor car accident not far from London Colney, Arsenal's training ground, according to a report in the Guardian. According to a Metropolitan Police spokesperson, "No one required hospital treatment. Just a prang."

While it is fortunate that Fabregas is unhurt, this accident does feel a little bit too neatly metaphorical for the last four weeks of The Gunners' campaign. No reports have come in about any jokes about how long the car is expected to be out for, whether or not Fabregas was driving on the correct side of the road, if the car will need submarine placenta rubbed on its dents, or how this incident will affect Fabregas' captaincy and "leadership skills". It's actually kind of a small wonder that nobody in the English media has called Fabregas to task for leading too much by example on the motorway and not being a vocal, in-your-face-type leader that is required to avoid just such "prangs".
