Arsenal welcome the suddenly hot Liverpool to the Emirates tomorrow, looking for a chance to pull within four points of league leaders Manchester United. Liverpool have been looking increasingly threatening lately with the Andy Carroll and a healthy side of Luis Suarez striker combo meal, and they defeated Manchester City 3-0 on Monday in a pretty dominant performance.
Arsenal do indeed have some good injury news, with Johan Djourou, Alex Song, and Wojciech Szczesny all available. Djourou and Szczesny's returns are a little surprising; at one point, the return of either for the rest of the season was in doubt, and to have them for the final seven games of the season (knock on wood) would be a bonus.
Song's return will offer some stability and a counter to Liverpool's attacking play, but Arsenal will be reliant upon Emmanuel Eboue and Gael Clichy to keep Dirk Kuyt and Raul Meireles contained on the wings as well. Aresnal's speed in the attack could prove effective against the slower Jamie Carragher.
Either way, it is crucial that Arsenal not lose any more points, and taking all three points tomorrow is essential. Hopefully none of the attacking problems that surfaced against Blackburn and West Bromwich Albion crop up.
