Arsène Wenger renews contract through 2014

The Arsenal official website has announced that Arsène Wenger has extended his contract through 2014, ending any speculation that he may move abroad to end his managerial career. The new contract means that Wenger will more than likely finish his career as Arsenal manager, as he has said in the past couple of weeks that his next contract will probably be his last.

The new contract means that Arsenal are in good hands for the next four seasons and can begin this campaign with at least one question answered. Wenger said upon signing the contract that:

“My commitment and drive are as strong and fresh as ever. Signing a new deal means that I can see this talented group of players reach their potential. Trust me, they are ready to deliver.
