Well, opening week did not disappoint. Starting the league off with a home loss was a brilliant touch by United, while Fabregas's "what-did-I-just-see" assist really tied the whole week together.
In Arsenal news, struggling to defeat inferior opposition at home and going into the second leg of a knockout tie needing a result has the squad picking up just where we left them last season. Welcome new, excited fans!
On to the scores!

The Podium: Newcomers dominate the podium this week, with wychui21 taking first, you gots to chill chilling at second, and danny19 sharing third with last season's titan hansdampf. "Sure, I'll play, why not?" say the professional score predictors, cackling ominously.
Clever Pick of the Week: Captain Kirk 3 correctly predicted United's home capitulation, and was the only one to get any points from the match. Come on guys, by now United are famous for losing at Old Trafford! What's the opposite of a fortress? Sponge cake?
Crisis Pick of the Week: HoodRiverDuck was the only one not to predict Chelsea stomping all over new boys Burnley. Also ramsfanindia, but he showed up late so we'll cut him some slack. (HRD, this is my revenge for you winning our Community Shield!)
Philly37's Wishful Thinking Pick of the Week: Everyone who picked Arsenal to win both of their games by three or four goals. Seriously, it was about half of you. Don't worry, we'll get there, but it's going to take a few weeks for the steamroller to get warmed up.
Season Standings:
It's week one, so just scroll up to see the season standings. I'm lazy.
Cup Standings:
Brad Masson -------- 2
Everyone Else ------ 0
(Again, lazy)
Brad Masson is the only one to pick up any points after picking Arsenal NOT TO WIN?! BOO THIS MAN!!!
