Sky Bet have just reduced the odds of Southampton holding midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin moving to Tottenham, becoming the odds-on favorite to now land the French international:
Both clubs are reported to be interested in the France international, but Schneiderlin’s stong relationship with former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino, who took over at Spurs in May, places them ahead in the race for his signature.
Spurs are therefore 4/5 favourites but Arsenal, who are still odds-on to sign Sami Khedira from Real Madrid, have not yet been ruled out of the picture at 11/8.
Further, some guy named Dale Tempest added this tasty morsel of transfer news goodness:
"Arsenal had been the favourites for the Frenchman, but they’re setting their sights a bit higher with Khedira, while they’re also given a 50-50 chance of signing William Carvalho at even-money (1/1)."
I've only recently come around to the prospects of signing Morgan Schneiderlin, so I'd be a bit bummed if he decided to head up the road to play for Tottenham. But if it means we end up signing William Carvalho? Cue permanent smile time!
