Off-topic: Harry Potter and MOOCs

So one of the threads the other day made me realize that there are quite a few Harry Potter fans here at the Short Fuse. I don't know why I was surprised, given that it's such a generation-defining book series, but alas, I was. (I'm sorry I doubted you all, TSF.) That being said, I want to bring your attention to something quite significant today.

If you've ever wondered when your acceptance letter would come by owl...

If you ever raged at the world and wondered why you weren't born a witch or wizard...

If you've ever wondered what it would be like to take courses at Hogwarts...

I have good news for you.

Hogwarts is Here.

Yes, there is now a MOOC (massive open online course) dedicated to Hogwarts, and really, the only question is WHY HASN'T THIS HAPPENED BEFORE NOW?? (And please don't try to tell me about Pottermore. Pottermore could have had so much potential... sigh.)

(Slate has a writeup of the site here.)

So yes, needless to say, I have already enrolled at Hogwarts. Ravenclaw. Currently working through Defense Against the Dark Arts, and I'm super excited!

Now's the chance for all you TSFers to prove that you could get that O in your D.A.D.A. O.W.L. that Hermione failed to achieve.

So, who's with me? And if you are, what house?
