Women's FA Cup Quarterfinal Draw

Arsenal Ladies have a rematch with Birmingham City...shocking.

After Arsenal's 2-0 win over Gillingham just yesterday, we now know their fate for the quarterfinals. Just as predicted the Arsenal Ladies have been drawn to face Birmingham City in the quarterfinal round of the women's FA Cup. Here's a look at how the draw went this morning.

QF 1: Portsmouth v Notts County

QF 2: Liverpool v Everton

QF 3: Manchester City v Chelsea

QF 4: Birmingham v Arsenal

Should Arsenal exact revenger against the Blues, they'll face the winner of quarterfinal three between Manchester City and Chelsea. If the gunners want to defend their FA Cup title it looks like they're going to have to do it the hard way.

Quarterfinals will take place Sunday April 27th, and obviously we'll have a recap of that match. Winners not only advance to the semifinals but earn a nice £1000 (aka just over 1650 dollars for those counting at home) to put in the bank. Semifinals are scheduled for Sunday May 11th, and along with the opportunity to compete for some hardware, finalists get an extra £2000 check (that's just under 3350 dollars).
