I'll tell you what happened. AStar was on a tear for the first nine games, scoring in each of them. The top of the podium AND the year's first 10-pick week were well in his grasp. Until...
Norwich's 1-0 victory took all that away from poor AStar, as Captain Kirk 3 warped the Enterprise NOR-1701 in at the last moment with the clever pick of the week and landed in first place for the week by the skin of his teeth.

THE PODIUM: So yeah, Captain Kirk, AStar, hansdampf and Sam5001 are all crowded up there. Good job.
CLEVER PICK OF THE WEEK: Ck3 and Sam5001 pciked Norwich 1-0 over Tottenham, which really should have won the wishful thinking pick of the week, too, except that I've saved that for the truly bizarre.
CRISIS PICK OF THE WEEK: jellomon and CK3 value Marouane Chamakh extremly highly, and thought he'd lead Palace to victory over some other, much lesser ex-Arsenal striker's club this week. C'est la vie.
Philly37 WISHFUL THINKING PICK OF THE WEEK: Required math, and Philly37's 576-πr^2 pick in the Cardiff-Hull stinker match of the week might have scored him points...IF the radius of the circle in question had been greater than sqrt(576/π). But I checked, and it totally wasn't. So he'll just have to settle for taking home his own award again.

I'm afraid it's looking more like a two-horse race, but if someone goes all Steakballer on us for a few weeks, you never know. Plus, there are the imaginary European IKTS slots to vie for! If only we knew some IKTS people at SBN's FC Chornomorets Odesa site, we could arrange this. Hold on, the fairy editor that lives on my shoulder is whispering something to me.
Huh. Apparently there are no Ukrainian soccer SBN sites. Seriously, SBN? You guys need to step up your game.
