Over the last few years I've tried to do a semi regular Not Strictly Soccer Related post, typically once a week, that would serve as a catch-all place for people to hang out and talk about non-Arsenal related things, or even Arsenal things that don't necessarily fit in to any front-page thread.
I don't want to completely rule out threads going off-topic, as some of those diversions are fun, but going forward I will be rebranding (corporate buzzword!) the NSSR's to include the phrase "Off Topic" somehow, so that people will know there is a place where we can all just hang out and talk about random stuff. The usual "don't be a dick" rules apply, but otherwise it's kind of free-form in these threads - feel free to talk about whatever's on your mind.
As random stuff is easier to talk about with some guidance, here are some prompts:
1. Weather. It's fully fall now, as evidenced by the stupid torrential downpour I stood through yesterday. Is fall in full effect where you live? Are you happy about this?
2. Breaking Bad. Did you watch the finale? What did you think? If you did and want to talk about it, please remember to use the spoiler tags (the little black square at the end of the row of formatting icons above the comment text box) so people who aren't caught up can avoid spoilers.
3. Other sports. While pregaming for the aforementioned Timbers game, I caught a glimpse of Gene Simmons singing the National Anthem before an NFL game that was apparently being played in London? Are games in London a regular thing? And why the hell was Gene Simmons singing the National Anthem? Don't get me wrong, I loved Kiss when I was younger (and still do although I never listen to them any more), but Gene Simmons is a giant douche.
4. Fall TV shows. Any new ones that look interesting? I watched Agents of SHIELD and it was...ok. Might give it a couple more weeks but it didn't do a lot for me, nor did any of the sitcoms I tried (Mom, the one with Robin Williams, etc).
So that's a start, but as I said, feel free to talk about anything and everything in these threads.
