So Arsenal's transfer windows are always a bit crazy. There was that one with the Cesc/Nasri saga and the PANIC BUY ALL THE PLAYERS on deadline day.
Last year was a little crazy too. Sellling RVP. But what had an even bigger impact was selling Song. After banishing Coquelin to the North London dungeon this left Arsenal without any designated defensive midfielder and an amorphous midfield . Towards the end of the season Wenger settled on a Ramsey- Arteta pairing that seemed to work Ok.
Mourinho recently announced that the only remaining transfer target on his list was Rooney and rubbished the rumors that were linking Chelsea to big money moves for Gustavo and De Rossi. This surprised the press, but was it really surprising? Chelsea is a talented squad with a number of talented players. Mourinho didn't need to upgrade anything to compete. He added some guys for midfield depth and was done.
Some people just think Arsenal need depth at a couple positions. Some think there are just a few key holes in the squad that needed to be filled. Some guys (ie Piers Morgan) are unconvinced by the quality of the squad as and think Arsenal need to SIGN ALL THE PLAYERS to stay competitive !!
Suarez and Rooney are both available and want to leave their clubs - if #Arsenal want to win trophies, break the bank and sign them both.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) July 16, 2013
So my question is what you want from the window? What do you expect from the window? Would you be happy if the window closed today, with the moves already made?
