I got a Kindle Touch for my birthday last year. I thought I sorta wanted one, but within a month of owning it I kept thinking "THIS IS THE COOLEST THING EVER I AM SO GLAD I HAVE THIS". It only does one thing - books - but it does it really well, and that's what I was looking for. I will never give up physical books - I live in the city where this place is, after all - but I have used my Kindle a ton and I absolutely love it.
So a simple question this week. What toy/gadget do you have that you can't live without? Did you know you couldn't live without it when you got it, or was it something you just sorta eventually came to view as indispensable? The other thing that I find indispensable at this point in my life is my DVR. Not only for recording stupid-early Arsenal games, but for catching shows I wouldn't normally remember to watch, and being able to watch them whenever. I grew up with the VCR, which was cool for its time (our first one had a wired remote!), but the DVR is so vastly superior it's crazy.
Anything else on your minds this week?
