Arsenal Ladies have announced some wonderful news just ahead of the Glasgow City match. It's almost like they are setting us up in case they fail. But they aren't going to fail. So let's not even consider the possibility.
Back to the positives. Nobbs and Carter have agreed to new contracts with the club. There's not any info being released about the numbers involved with the contracts, but its still nice to see these two are committed to a future here at the club.
Nobbs started all 14 of Arsenal's FA WSL matches and had six goals. She's also been in excellent form in Champions League, scoring 3 goals in their round of 32 matchup against Kairat. Oh, and let's not forget her beaut of a goal against Italy for England in this summer's Cyprus Cup.
Speaking of scoring goals, Danielle Carter also has a brand new contract. Carter has recently worked her way into Kerr's first team, and scored five, count em, five goals against Kairat in the last round of the UWCL. Here's a fun stat on Carter: since the FA WSL mid season break, including those Champions League goals, Carter has scored 16 goals in 14 games.
Bear in mind that both Nobbs and Carter are just 20 years old. Its hard to imagine just how good they'll be down the line for this team. You have to think they'll play a key role in Arsenal's return to the top of the FA WSL.
