This Saturday, daylight saving time comes to an end for another year, and with it ends the glorious evenings of daylight in the NW - in the summer here, it's light until 9.30 or so, close to 10 at the peak of summer, but once the clocks change, we're in for several months of darkness at 4.30 or 5. Bleak.
With the darkness, though, comes a desire for more indoor activities - I'm not a skiier, a hiker, or a winter person, so I tend to read a lot during the winter. I've just come off a streak of reading three fiction books in a row - extremely rare for me, as I generally read non-fiction far more than I read fiction. I'm back into a non-fiction book now, though, so all is becoming right with the world again.
Do you read for pleasure very much? What is your preferred type of reading - fiction or non? If you had to name one all time favorite book, what would it be? Do you have a favorite author? A favorite genre? Let's talk about books!
Also, let's talk about anything else! It's an off-topic free for all!
