I was reading this article from the Guardian about how the Arsenal Independent Supporters Association, the Arsenal Supporters Trust, the Black Scarf Movement and REDaction are mad that Stan Kroenke hasn't met with them. While I haven't heard of two of these groups (Arsenal Independent Supporters Association and REDaction), I have heard of the others, and nothing that the Black Scarf Movement or Arsenal Supporters Trust has done so far fills me with any sense that they deserve any credibility.
So I have a few questions:
1) Who the heck are these people?
2) Why are they specifically worthy of attention?
I've been increasingly curious, especially as every once in a while, mainstream media such as the Guardian will report on their activities. There's some stuff in the Guardian article about a "Fanshare" scheme, but that's the first I've heard of it as well. Does anyone have any info on this, either about the Fanshare scheme and what it's supposed to do, or why specifically these 4 fan groups (which hardly seem to represent the majority of Arsenal fans), get to have more of a voice?
