Arsenal: Best League start in 7 years

After an opening day loss to Aston Villa, Arsenal have won 5 straight league matches to take 15 points out of their first 6 games. Here is how this year compares to the start of the last decade of Premier League campaignes:

Year Points Position Finish
2013 15 1
2012 9 8 4
2011 7 13 3
2010 11 3 4
2009 12 5 3
2008 12 4 4
2007 16 1 3
2006 11 6 4
2005 10 7 4
2004 16 1 2
2003 14 2 1

As you can see, this is the Gunnars best start in the League since 2007, when Arenal had won 5 and drawn 1 for 16 points.

The Invincibles of 03-04 only started with 14 points, drawing 2 of their first 6 games.

After the last two seasons of terrible starts which led to mid table positions on October 1, this is quite a nice view (it's from the top!) and leads me to believe this could be a very good season.
