FA Cup Fifth Round draw: Arsenal get Blackburn at the Emirates

Laurence Griffiths

Arsenal drew Championship side Blackburn Rovers for their sixth round match on Feb. 16/17 at the Emirates!

The FA Cup fifth round draw is complete, and Arsenal have drawn Blackburn Rovers for a home match at the Emirates on February 16th or 17th. Blackburn, of course, were relegated to the Championship last year. It is a favorable draw for the Gunners, with both Manchester clubs still looming in the competition and Chelsea facing a replay at Stamford Bridge against Brentford. The Manchesters have also received favorable draws, with Reading going to United and Leeds going to City. Should Chelsea win, they would go to Middlesborough.

Today's other shock cup news is that Oldham defeated Liverpool in Oldham and Leeds defeated Tottenham at Elland Road. It's been quite a day for all the teams involved, quite a weekend of FA Cup action.

For now, though, Arsenal must focus on Liverpool in the league on Wednesday at the Emirates.

The draw in full for the 5th round:

Middlesbrough vs. Chelsea/Brentford
Man Utd vs. Reading
Man City vs. Leeds United
Arsenal vs. Blackburn
Luton vs. Millwall
Oldham vs. Everton
MK Dons vs. Barnsley
Huddersfield/Leicester vs. Wigan

Let's go win this thing.
