I don't have any one big theme this week - thinking is hard! - but I do have a bunch of general questions that could start conversations. Onwards!

1. Today is my favorite day of the year - the Summer Solstice. I love love love love love summer, and the longest day of the year - especially today, which is sunny and heading to a lovely 80 degrees - is pure awesomeness. Living in the NW is great because it doesn't get dark here until about 9.30 or 10 in the summer, so it's like you get a whole 'nother day after work to do fun stuff. What's your opinion of summer? What's your favorite season?

2. In tthe Q&A thread, the concept of "brinner" was mentioned - breakfast for dinner. Do you partake in such things? What other foods do you eat "out of sequence"? I had a bowl of chicken vegetable soup for breakfast last Saturday at 7AM, because I was going on a long bike ride and needed protein, but didn't feel like eating breakfasty foods.

3. This Sunday sees the first 2012 installment of the most awesome rivalry in all of American sports (YEAH I SAID THAT DEAL WITH IT) - the Cascadia derby between the Timbers and the Sounders. I'm slightly terrified of this game, because the Timbers are playing like crap right now, but derbies tend to bring out the best in teams and hope springs eternal and all that. But anyway, the atmospere at Jeld-Wen Field (aka "The Dumbest Name In Arena History") is going to be ridiculously awesome and I am greatly looking forward to not having a voice Monday. What is your favorite American sporting rivalry that you have a personal stake in (school you went to, city you live in, whatever)?

All that, and whatever else you want to talk about (within the rules, of course) in today's NSSR! GO!
